The Colonies

A few weeks back I had a nightmare. I awoke with a sense of dread and a feeling that I needed to check on the colonies. I wish I had taken that feeling a bit more seriously. Instead, I went on with my day and forgot about the dream. Today I remembered.

This morning Jason suggested we go on a picnic in the colonies. I though it was a fine idea so off we went. What we found shocked us. The colonies were in a state of chaos. Smoke and fire filled the colonies. Not a person in sight. What happened here? Where did all the people go? Maybe we'll find answers as we put the fires out and clean up the mess.
