SUPER BOWL! - Picture Of The Day - February 6th

It's Super Bowl Sunday! So like most Americans I will spend the day eating way too many snacks and eagerly awaiting......Football? Nope not football, commercials!  Super Bowl Sunday...the one day a year, since the invention of DVRs, that people actually watch commercials.

So my pictures of the day are the snacks I'm most craving.  Sure I have the standard Doritos, Fritos & all sorts of stuff like that but what I'm really looking to is the tasty Italian meat tray and cheese and crackers. I'd tell you why I'm looking forward to the Italian meat tray but if you aren't a vegetarian and you have eyes you'll know why once you see the picture.  Of course, I have great bread and olive oil to go along with that pure awesome on a tray.  As for the cheese and cracker, I don't know why but I've always loved it. So there you go, that's what I'm gonna be munching on while watching hopefully a great game of football.  Oh, next year it will be the Vikes year, Skol Vikings!

Happy Birthday Ian! - Picture Of The Day - February 5th

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TREEBARK!!!  Today is my son's 1st birthday. Yeah!  My little chubby cute Ian is  kiddo 4 out of 4, he's the baby and today is his day.  I love birthday parties, I always have.  My family has always done something, even as you get older.  It's not always much but we almost always get together somehow.  Growing up I learned that birthdays were something to look forward.  Getting together with family, eating dinner, having cake and, of course, presents.  I love it and now I want to pass that on to my kids.  I want them to know birthdays are something fun, special.  So today is Treebark's day, I hope he loves it!

Double Canadian Bacon Day - Picture Of The Day - February 4th

It was going to be a busy morning today so I went to McDonalds.  I figured it would make things a bit easier.  Tomorrow is my sons 1st birthday party which means 30-some people coming over in less than 24 hours.  Theres stuff to do AND my soon to be 1 year old is a bit under the weather!  As of right now thing are going great.  Kiddo is doing fine and house is almost ready but I really had no fear and I'll tell you why.  A had a sign this morning that things were gonna be awesome.  What was that sign? My egg mcmuffin had two pieces of canadian bacon!

Clean up - Picture Of The Day - February 3rd

So these will most likely be my last pictures from the great 2011 Blizzard.  Just some pictures of my wife cleaning off the porch area.  She refused to let me do it because she said I was going to either further hurt my knee or have a heart attack trying to do it too quickly.  I think she was just getting satisfaction from seeing the snow removed, its oddly compelling.

This was after an hour of it being broken down.

Random Office Poster - Picture Of The Day - February 1st

It would be very easy to take a picture of the start of Snowzilla Rex bearing down on Chicago and call it the picture of the day.  Honestly that was my plan but I've changed my mind.  Don't worry though, I'm sure there will be plenty of snow pics tomorrow.  Todays picture is a poster hanging in my office.  I got this poster 7 or 8 years ago, I'm not exactly sure but its been a while. There's nothing special about it, just an old beat up poster, but everybody loves it.  The reason I was thinking about it today is I cant figure out who I stole it from and its driving me crazy.  Oh well, maybe I'll figure it out.
