A Painful Bite

Last night I stood in my kitchen debating if I should eat the M&M ice cream sandwich in the freezer. I wanted it but should I really eat it? A quick decision was made and I was chomping away on M&M ice cream cookie goodness. I should have left that blasted cookie in the freezer. 

One bite and everything changed. I instantly knew something wasn't right. The M&M ice cream cookie had betrayed me. Once the M&M goodness had cleared I was left with a cracked tooth. That cracked tooth led me to the dentists chair today. I got a temporary crown, permanent one in a couple weeks. Silver Lining? At least I didn't have to get a root canal. It was close, It was possible. That's something, right? Stupid M&M ice cream cookie sandwich..........Oh, ok. I can't be mad at you. I love you and your tastiness too much.

New Shirt, New Shirt

I got a new shirt a couple days ago and I'm super excited. I've already picked up a couple new shirts for this summer but they all are Doctor Who shirts. Don't get me wrong, Doctor Who shirts are awesome but I'm happy to have something different.

So it's a Princess Bride shirt. All I can say is look at it now, I know you love it.  Wait, What? You want it? You want my new Princess Bride shirt...for yourself?

 Well then we must fight. To the Death you say? No, no, no. To the pain! What's to the pain? To the pain means this. If we duel and you win, death for me. If we duel and I win, life for you. But life on my terms. The first thing you lose will be your feet....The left, then the right. Below the ankle. You will have stumps available to use within six months. Then your hands, at the wrist. They heal somewhat quicker. Five months is a fair average....Next your nose. No smell of dawn for you.  Followed by your tongue.  Deeply cut away.  Not even a stump left.  And then your left eye. Your ears you keep, so that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every babe that weeps in fear at your approach, every woman that cries, 'Dear God, what is that thing?' will reverberate forever within your perfect ears. That is what 'to the pain' means. It means that I leave you to live in anguish, in humiliation, in freakish memory until you can stand it no more; so there you have it, pig, there you know, you miserable vomitous mass, and I say this now, and live or die, it's up to you. Drop My Shirt!

Last Game Of The Year

Last night was Olivia's last T-Ball game of the year. She finished the year by getting three big hits and having tons of fun with her team. It's amazing how much she learned this year and how much she improved as the season went on. More important than anything else was how much fun she had playing. I'm very proud of my Olivia. Way to go kiddo!

 O got her very first trophy, she was so excited. She put it on her dresser so she can see it when she goes to bed.

After the game we went over to Durbin's for some pizza party, T-ball crazy style. The girls had fun eating pizza, cupcakes and just getting to hang out.

This was a great first year in T-ball, Olivia is excited to play again next year. I'm kinda sad it's over but not to worry, soccer starts in August!

Zoo Fun

Yesterday was gorgeous, a perfect summer day. The kind of day that begs you to get outside and do something.

So here is how the conversation went yesterday morning.

Me: Guess What?

Wife: What?

Me: The zoo is something.

Wife You wanna go to the zoo?
Me: Good idea, lets go!
Wife: Sure

The zoo was great, the weather perfect, the animals friendly & most importantly everybody had a blast.

 

 



















ThingaMaJig

Today was a really good day, I went to the zoo with the kids. It was a blast and everybody had tons of fun. I'm going to post pictures tomorrow of zoo fun. Today's picture is something extremely rare. Something that I don't come across very often. It's probably been a couple years since I've seen one of these. What is this rarity? It's a candy bar I have never had.

So the Thingamajig is clearly in the Whatchamacallit family. It looks pretty much the same on the outside. The inside is completely different though. The first major difference is the caramel in a Whatchamacallit is replaced with peanut butter in the Thingamajig. The second change is the peanut flavored crisp in the Whatchamacallit is a cocoa flavored crisp in the Thingamajig.

It was good, I liked it. I didn't love it though. It really just made me want a Whatchamacallit. If I really think about it I'd say the differences are almost exact to that of Twix and Peanut Butter Twix. Twix is awesome and PB Twix is good, just good. Maybe I just prefer caramel? Would I have another? Of course I would but it's still inferior to the Whatchamacallit.

I Got Clean Floors!

Something happened to my brain today. A switch flipped and I couldn't control what happened after that point. I became a cleaning maniac. I ended up cleaning almost my entire house. Not just dust and vacuum cleaning, it was so much more. I'm talking bathroom scrubbing, kitchen floor cleaning, making sense out of the kids rooms kinda cleaning. When I was finally done, I was exhausted. I did a lot in a short amount of time but it was so worth it. I love a fresh cleaned house.

When the cleaning bug finally wore off I was sitting looking at my still wet cleaned floor. So satisfying. 

I'm Going To A Concert!

Woo Hoo! I was able to get tickets for Erasure today. It's gonna be a fun show so here's a video to hold you and me over until September.

An Addiction Renewed

Eeeeee Pigtails!

My wife recently joined a new gym and they have all kinds of cool classes. She's been going to Zumba but tonight she decided to try out a yoga class. On her way out I noticed she had put her hair in pigtails to keep it out of her face. I knew it must be the picture of the day.....mostly cause I got nothing else.

I love pigtails! Ha! It's so cute! Pigtails!!!

Oh Hello, Tea at this hour?

Let me set the scene. I'm sitting....ok, lounging.....ok, ok I was lying down on the couch after a hard day of eating burgers and hot dogs, swimming and chasing the kids around. My wife is next to me, we are catching up on some shows and talking.

We hear a tap, tap at the window. Whats that? Oh nothing, or at least not enough to get me to move. Tap, tap, tap. Hmmm, now that's weird. Is it starting to rain? Yeah, that must be it. It's starting to rain. Tap, tap, tap, tap. This time I see something move by the window. I knew it! Zombie invasion! Get the Machete! Fill the tubs with water! Break down the stairs! Oh, wait.....zombies don't tap at the window. I guess I should check it out. Yeah, I still hadn't moved. Not even a zombie invasion was getting me to move unless I had to.

I get up from my comfy couch and what do I find.....

Ohhhh, Hello Mr. Bird. I'm sorry, it's very late so you can't come in for tea right now but please come back tomorrow.

(For anybody wondering, no Mr. Bird wasn't injured. He flew off once I tapped on the window.)

Happy Fathers Day!

Today is my day! Woooooo! Happy My Day!

Ok, ok back to reality. Today is really about my four wonderfully cute kiddos. I'm excited about how excited they are for Father's Day. Lets face it, without them it's not really my day.

Today's also about my own Dad. I'm biased but I'd say the best Dad in the world. Today is also about the other Dads in my family. I'm very lucky to have such great examples in my family of fathers committed to their kids. Fathers who are there for their kids each and every day. Fathers who are engaged in the lives of their children because they know no other way to be a parent.
Happy Fathers Day Dad.

I try my best with my own kids. Not everyday is easy but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Seeing my kids happy is all I want. I know I will continue to grow and learn especially having the examples I have in my life. I hope that I can be as good an example for my kids as my Dad was for me.

So today is my day and I'm happy to share it with my kids......but seriously, that better not be a tie in that box. Ok, it's not a tie. It's candy! My kids are smart and they know me well. They got something I will like but also something I can share....with them!

This, this is good.

Really? For me? Thaaaaanks kids. hehe

Clouds

I love clouds, especially the big fluffy ones. I don't take the time to enjoy them enough. I think when I get home from work I'm going to take my kids outside to look at clouds.

After dinner I went outside with the kiddos and we played soccer. We took time to look at the clouds, it was fun.
