Nordiques March to the Cup

Last night ended with the Nordiques tied 2-2 in the Eastern Conference Semi Finals. The Habs were proving to be quite pesky. The series was much closer than the the quarter finals match up with the Sabres. Three of four games going into overtime. Heading into tonight I was expecting more of the same. I was wrong. The Habs proved to be no match for the mighty Nordiques losing both of tonight's games and the series.

That brings us to the Eastern Conference Finals against the dreaded Washington Capitals. Game one was better than I could have expected. The Nordiques easily took game one 7-1 in Washington. Other than a cheap roughing penalty from Peter Bondra, that will be dealt with in game 2, it was close to a perfect opening game.
