The Jesus and Mary Chain

What a great show. The band was spot on, absolutely what I had hoped for. It was a real treat to hear Psychocandy from begining to end. More C2E2 tomorrow!

TMBG!

I know, I know, it's been a while. I can almost hear you guys all milling around asking "Where's the picture of the day?" Well, I'm sorry. I was battling White Puma in the Doritos Mountains. You know, just south of the Great Lake Hair Gel.

Well, that's a story for another day. Today I wanna talk about an evening with They Might be Giants. A couple weeks ago me and the missus went out for some John and John fun. The show was fantastic. I loved everything from Man it's So Loud in Here to Ana Ng. It was a very fun night. Thank you John and to an even greater extent, John.

Rush

In 1992 I went to my first concert with my friend Trevor. We saw Rush on the Roll the Bones tour. I'm not a huge Rush fan but I went. Concerts are fun, right? I had a fun time and we had taco bell after so it was all good. I've been to tons of concerts since then. Some of my favorite ones were Suede, Pet Shop Boys, Lush and Erasure. I've seen They Might Be Giants more times than should be allowed and even got Flans to play I Palindrome I once. True story and I have a witness. But tonight after 20 years I saw Rush again. I'm still not a huge fan but 20 years later I appreciate them as musicians so much more. Damn, they are good.

Blur - The Universal

I can't believe I didn't post this before. Blur played Hyde Park to close out the Olympics. It was most likely their last concert. I hope I'm wrong but probably not. The last song they played was The Universal which is a brilliant song. I love it. Enjoy.
