Goodbye Ponds

As any good Doctor Who fan knows, it's just a matter of time before you're saying goodbye to another companion. This time it was Amy & Rory. Were the Ponds my favorite companions? No, Rose still has that title for me. I did like them though and was sad to see them go. They were a part of some great stories and some of my favorite Doctor Who moments. But like every other companion's departure, you move on and get excited for what's to come. This time we only have to wait till Christmas. Usually the Doctor Who Christmas episode is a fun episode but this year it will be extra special. Having the Doctor's new companion properly introduced should be interesting. I'm really looking forward to it. So goodbye Amy & Rory, so sad......now let's meet this new Dalek companion.

I like cookies now. Cookies are cool.

Look at my new office cookie jar and be so very jealous. I know you are. I just hope no Daleks or Cybermen show up and try to steal my cookie. That would not be good, not at all.

Doctor, Who gave this to me?

I got to work this morning and found an envelope in my mailbox. This book was left for me. It just said it was for me but didn't say who it was from. Who left it? Was it an office mate? Was it another extended co-worker? Was it the Doctor? Such a mystery! The only thing I do know is it's freaking awesome!
So this was worthy of a day off in ornaments but don't worry, more ornaments tomorrow.

Update! Update! Mystery solved. This piece of Doctor Who brilliance was given to me by none other than the awesometacular Alex Beck. Thinking back on it, it makes sense. Who else would give me something like this?

So wait, you're telling me I did see that? Oh, well th...........................................Yep, fainted again. This picture represents two major nerd worlds colliding and I'm not sure I can stand it.

It's 11/11/11! I guess it's cool, right? I know everybody seems super excited about it. I'm not sure it's as cool as the attention it seems to be getting but what the hey. It's 11/11/11!


You wanna know why I'm super excited today? Most important it's a Holiday so no work for me! Wooo three day weekend! What did I do with my day off? I got 98% of my Xmas shopping done. Yeah, I'm that ahead of the game. That's something to be excited about.


Well today's picture is 11/11/11. I wasn't going to post anything about it but I'm a sucker for Doctor Who stuff so when I saw this on my wife's facebook page I had to post it. Again, I'm a sucker for Doctor Who stuff.

The Wedding of River Song

There can be only one picture today because today is no ordinary Saturday. Today is the season finale of Doctor Who and it's no ordinary finale. Will the question be asked? Will silence fall? Will the Doctor die? If none of this makes any sense to you then you are not a Whovian and should feel much shame. But for those of us scifi geeks it's like Super Bowl Sunday. So much excitement.
